ACCIONA joins the team of Official Sponsors of the ‘El Greco 2014’ commemorations

ACCIONA Chairman & CEO, José Manuel Entrecanales, and the Chairman of the Fundación El Greco 2014 (El Greco 2014 Foundation), Gregorio Marañón, signed today a colaboration agreement whereby ACCIONA joins the team of Official Sponsors of the programme of events to mark the 4th Centenary of the death of El Greco. The ceremony was presided by the President of the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha, Maria Dolores Cospedal.

ACCIONA will be contributing to a cultural project designed and organized by the Foundation and scheduled for 2014. This ambitious Toledo-based initiative will feature a number of commemorative events on a regional, national end international scale. ACCIONA has taken on a commitment with a long-term cultural and social project at the regional level. In addition, the Company is now the Official Sponsor of a sculpture project that Cristina Iglesias has been comissioned for Toledo.

The commemoration in 2014 of the death of El Greco has been officially declared "an event of exceptional public interest". The Fundación El Greco 2014 was set up on May 13th 2010, and the Honorary Chairs are Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain.
