ACCIONA Agua has been awarded a 24-year contract by the Cáceres City Government to provide municipal drinking water supply and sewage and wastewater treatment services. The contract is worth over 300 million euros.
ACCIONA Agua's bid included advance payment of 37.7 million euros in fees, a variable annual fee of 4%, and capital expenditure of 27 million euros to refurbish infrastructure and install technological improvements and innovations.
ACCIONA Agua will provide end-to-end water management services, covering the entire water treatment cycle: capture, potabilisation, meter maintenance and reading, sanitation and sewage treatment, and customer management. Moreover, the company will perform continuous water analyses in its labs with a view to ensuring maximum quality tap water for the end user.
