St. James Apostle celebration 2012

Breathtaking show on the façade of the Cathedral to celebrate the feast day of St James the Apostle.

GPD has astonished again the audience with a show that incorporates the very latest cutting-edge technology in 4D and projected onto the façade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela the night of 24th July. The City Council of Santiago has come to rely on this company for the design and production of the night-time show, one of the most witnessed and of greatest creativity performed in Spain.

The multimedia installation, emotive and full of surprises, dazzled the audience by the effects of virtual reality and mapping technique employed, that required of twelve projectors of 300,000 lumens, 60,000 watts of sound and almost 3,400 fireworks. The collapse of the Cathedral or the virtual recreation of the burning of the façade, were truly impressive moments that will remain in the memory of the more than 6,000 people that came to the Plaza del Obradoiro to enjoy this perfect combination of light, music, images and fireworks.
