The exhibition "Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado" is about to open its doors to the public at the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) in Brisbane, Australia. The exhibition, which comes as the result of the joint efforts of the Museo Nacional del Prado Madrid and ACCIONA, is scheduled to run from 21 July until 4 November 2012.

The exhibition will present more than one hundred masterpieces, from one of the most revered collections of European painting in the world featuring works by iconic Spanish artists such as Velázquez, Murillo and Goya. This initiative sets out to showcase a range of aspects of Spanish culture and visitors to QAG will be able to enjoy traditional Spanish music or culinary arts, as well as talks on design and even an introduction to the Spanish language (see more info about "La Sala del Prado").

ACCIONA enjoys an excellent and longstanding relationship with the Museo Nacional del Prado, one of the world's most relevant cultural institutions and we are also keenly aware of its new global environment, which is shared by ACCIONA's infrastructure, renewable energy and water divisions. That's why "we're proud to embark on this journey as a travelling companion of Spanish artists" in the words of José Manuel Entrecanales (see ACCIONA's Chairman and CEO's full message here).
