MERCO study ranks ACCIONA Spain’s best infrastructure company

The results of the 2013 Merco study-which looks at the one hundred largest companies in Spain-underscore and help to enhance ACCIONA's work in the realm of Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance, a category in which our Company stands 11^th placed in the ranking. 

In addition, our Chairman & CEO, José Manuel Entrecanales, came in at eleventh place in the "Leadership" category, three places higher than Merco 2012. Overall, this year ACCIONA climbed four places in the ranking, rising from 16^th to 12^th position. 

The Merco study is based on questionnaires sent out to more than 1,500 management committee members of companies with a turnover of more than 50 million euros in Spain; experts in a variety of fields, such as financial analysts, NGO representatives, consumer advocates, journalists, labor relations specialists, workers, students and HR managers, among others, as well as drawing on direct evaluations carried out by independent professionals at the firm of consultants Análisis e Investigación.
