ACCIONA renews its presence on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

ACCIONA has renewed its presence on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI World and DJSI Europe) with an improvement in their overall score that confirms the company's ability to remain at the forefront in terms of the integration of sustainability policies into their activities.

The environmental dimension has been recognised as one seeing great progress, especially in terms of the strategy to combat climate change and the use of sustainable building materials.
In the economic dimension, ACCIONA has achieved the best score in the criterion of supply chain management. Also, the company achieved the highest score in the criterion of non-financial project evaluation.

Finally, regarding the social dimension, the company has improved its scores in the criteria of human capital and, particularly, in the area of occupational health and safety.
Of the 2,500 companies that were invited to report this year, the DJSI World 2012/2013 index has finally selected a total of 340 companies, classified into 58 sectors. Its composition will be effective as of the opening of the markets on 24 September.

Since its launch in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index has become one of the leading exponents of sustainable or socially responsible investment. Furthermore, it is the index with the largest capital investment benchmark, with nearly 6,000 million dollars.
