ACCIONA renew its presence in the FTSE4Good sustainability index

In its latest half-year review, FTSE4Good, an index aimed at socially responsible investors, confirms ACCIONA's place among the Index's constituent companies.

The evaluation criterion for supply chain members has been extended this year to all companies regardless of their sectors. Up until now, this criterion was applied solely to textiles, accessories, toys and food companies. The new composition of the Index will be effective as of September 21st.

ACCIONA joined the FTSE4Good Index in March 2011, in accordance with a decision adopted by its Advisory Committee which lays down ever-increasingly stringent membership requirements on social, environmental and corporate governance aspects. Accordingly, in order to comply with these requirements, constituent companies need to commit to continued improvement.

FTSE4Good is an index for investors who are on the lookout for companies that meet globally recognized responsibility standards and contribute to the worldwide development of social responsibility. The review takes place every half-year (in March and September).
