ACCIONA ranks among the World's 100 most Sustainable Companies

The index of the world's top one hundred most sustainable companies, the "Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World 2012", was announced during the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland).  

ACCIONA, ranked 37, obtained the highest score of the four Spanish corporations included in the list. The other three are Repsol (ranked 49), Iberdrola (55) and Inditex (58).

This index, compiled by "Corporate Knights", a publication specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility, brings together companies from twenty-two different countries a range of sectors. The index is compiled following a detailed worldwide study of three thousand five hundred companies.

The corporations have been evaluated using a variety of environmental indicators, and on the basis of their capacity for innovation and a range of aspects related to CSR and corporate governance. This year's index includes a new people-management indicator.

ACCIONA's presence in the "Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World 2012" reaffirms the Company's leading role in Sustainability.
