A total 1,500 members of ACCIONA's senior and middle management team have embarked on a pioneering company-wide sustainability training scheme.
The "Chronos" program aims to give managers a corporate vision of ACCIONA's contribution to sustainable development. It is also a tool designed to help foster the values and commitments required to meet the economic, social and environmental challenges faced by ACCIONA today.
The three-month, online training scheme was designed jointly by Cambridge University and the "Entorno-BSCD España" Foundation, and comprises six units, each aimed at getting managers to think hard about how the environment (in a broad sense of the term) affects the value of the company. Moreover, it provides valuable insights on how that influence can be turned into sustainable value for the company and its business.
The program is further proof of ACCIONA's unwavering commitment to preparing its entire workforce for the challenges of sustainable development. There are many advantages for the company and its management team:
Commitment to sustainability
ACCIONA's business is based on a integrating idea that applies to all its activities, an idea that can be seen very clearly in the company's current socioeconomic make-up: "Pioneers in develoment and sustainability". All the company's activities are aimed at adding more value and creating real alternatives for meeting the basic needs of any society. This search for solutions requires leadership and talent, among other pillars.
