ACCIONA Industrial and ACCIONA Ingeniería also have permanent facilities in the country, while ACCIONA Energía has reached strategic agreements with local investment funds for renewable energy projects.

Projects
Al Jubail Desalination Plant
Currently under construction. The project includes the design, construction and start-up of the sea water desalination plant of reverse osmosis in Al Jubail, with a flow of 100,000 m3/day. It forms part of the Marafiq complex and will double the combined capacity that the other five desalination plants that already exist in the city now provide. This group of plants in Marafiq satisfies the water needs for the city of Al Jubail and will be able to distribute to other parts of the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia. It is expected to begin operations in late 2014.
Hadda and Arana Wastewater Treatment Plant
The wastewater treatment plants at Hadda and Arana are responsible for the treatment of all the wastewater generated in the holy city of the Muslim world, Mecca. The Mecca facility is exceptional in that there is a defined plan for the reuse of treated water, including road cleaning and watering gardens in Mecca with water from the Arana plant. A large pumping station was built to take the treated water from the Hadda plant and reuse it in the heart of Mecca.
