ACCIONA has operated in Poland since 1999 through Mostostal Warsawa, one of the largest construction companies in the country, of which ACCIONA has a 50.1% share. ACCIONA has historically participated in the construction of the most important bridges in Poland. It has also made stretches of highway, stations, metro tunnels, and residential and commercial buildings. Currently, ACCIONA is constructing several infrastructure projects of transportation, businesses, industries and energy.
The 33-MW Krobia I Wind Farm is made up of 11 AW116/3000 wind turbines with ACCIONA Windpower technology and 3MW nominal capacity, on 120-meter high concrete tower. In service since 2013, it is able to cover the power demand of more than 40,000 homes.
In service since late 2011, the Golice wind farm was the first one installed in Poland by ACCIONA Energía, which owns and operates it. The facility consists of 19 wind turbines totaling 38MW capacity, and generates clean energy equivalent to the consumption of around 40,000 Polish homes. It is located in the province of Lubuskie, in the western part of the country.

Connected to the grid in December 2015, Poniec 2 is ACCIONA Energy’s third wind farm in Poland, a 30 MW installation taking the company’s capacity in ownership in the country to 101 MW. ACCIONA made the turbines for the facility, which it built in just 11 months, and manages its operation and maintenance. Located in western Poland, in the municipalities of Krobia and Poniec, in the province of Wielkopolskie, the installation will produce 82 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity a year, equivalent to the consumption of over 40,000 Polish homes.
