    Arenas Water Treatment Plant

    Arenas Water Treatment Plant

    It is the largest water treatment plant on the island of Sardinia with the capacity to treat 174,000 m3/day. It was finished in 2002. It was awarded the best plant in Italy for nutrient removal in several years.

    SANT’ANNA WIND FARM

    SANT’ANNA WIND FARM

    Located in the region of Calabria, South Italy, the 64-MW Sant’Anna project is the largest of the five wind farms which ACCIONA Energy owns in the country.All of them make 155.8 MW capacity distributed in 140 wind turbines. This wind farm was completed in 2012.

    Bologna was connected to the Italian high-speed line from Milan to Napoli, with the construction of two 6 km-long twin tunnels of 9.4m in diameter, made with tunnel-boring machines. The works, which started in 2003 and finished in June 2006, represented a big challenge for ACCIONA due to the special complexities presented by being in a city center.

    Is Arenas WWTP

    Is Arenas Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project consists of Improvement, Service, Management and Maintenance Works for the WWTP serving Cagliari, Monserrato, Quartu S. Elena, Quartucciu, Selargius, as well as the Upgrading of the Municipalities of Is Arenas, S. Bartolometo and Borgo Sant’elia. With a capacity of 174,000 m3/d, the plant supplies an equivalent population of 1,150,000. The WWTP has received an award for Italy’s best facility for reducing nutrients over several years.
