Tampa desalination plant (USA)

To complete the construction of the desalination plant, and run operations and maintenance for a period of 20 years, as well as provide a solution to operational problems that have been found in the facility since start-up.

Located in Florida, with a capacity of 108,000m3/day, it is one of the US' biggest desalination plants.

Designed to satisfy at least 10% of Tampa Bay's water needs.

Took the Global Water Intelligence 2008 Award for the Desalination Plant of the Year, in acknowledgment the desalination industry's most representative technological advancement in 2007.
