    Mundaring DWTP

    The Helena Water consortium, comprising ACCIONA Agua, United Utilities Australia, Brookfield Multiplex and Royal Bank of Scotland, has been selected to design, build and operate (during a 35-year concession) the Mundaring Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP), in the Perth area of Western Australia. This project is the first Public-private Partnership (PPP) water project of its kind in Western Australia.

    The Mundaring DWTP will supply the Goldfields and Agricultural Water System, including Kalgoorlie in theState of Western Australia. The plant will have an initial capacity of 167 million litres per day, and amaximum capacity of around 240 million litres per day.
