Parks and gardens classified as of Cultural Interest

The Madrid City Council has entrusted ACCIONA Service with the services related to integrated conservation, gardening, security, irrigation and consumption management at the capital's eight historic parks under special protection. ACCIONA will manage its comprehensive maintenance during the next nine years, renewable for two more, for a total amount of 95 million euros. ACCIONA Service has extensive experience in maintenance and conservation of green areas, and especially in the integral maintenance of unique and historic urban parks.

ACCIONA Service will be responsible for parks and gardens classified as a Cultural Interest Asset or featuring distinctive elements dating back more than a century: El Retiro, Parque del Oeste (with the Temple of Debod, Príncipe Pío and the Ferraz Gardens), Quinta de Los Molinos, Fuente del Berro, El Capricho, the Sabatini Gardens, Plaza de Oriente and Dehesa de la Villa.

Due to their uniqueness, their cultural value and landscaping beauty, these parks require special protection and conservation, to which ACCIONA Service adds its own criteria of sustainability, innovation and resource optimization.
