San Rafael hydroelectric plant

ACCIONA Industrial is building a power plant on the site of the existing San Rafael dam on the river Santiago (Nayarit State, Mexico).

The EPC contract includes the design, engineering, supply of equipment assembly and start-up of the hydroelectric plant and the substation and HV line to link the facility to the grid of CFE.

The Machinery Unit is equipped with 3 sets of turbines that process 191.27 m3/second to generate 24.3 MW in the plant. Among the civil works, we would highlight the complexity of the digging done alongside the already existing dam.
