ACCIONA Industrial carried out the design, supply, construction and start-up of a 42 MW electricity generation plant of combined capacity, consisting of an Internal Combustion Engine-Generator fired by fuel oil, including a 230 KV substation and auxiliary lines, with a construction period for the project of 27 months. The total sum of the contract with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is $92 million US.
The plant includes a steam turbine that completes the thermal cycle by making use of hot exhaust gases to generate additional clean energy.
Awarded by the CFE for its execution
A DLE (Dry Low Emission) system has been designed and pre-installed to reduce NOx emissions by up to 90%
The project was completed in record time in comparison to previous plants of the same type developed by the CFE
Design, engineering, construction, supply of equipment, assembly and start-up of the Hydroelectric plant and the Substation and High Voltage Line
ACCIONA Industrial is currently part of the joint venture that is carrying out an EPC contract for the Bokpoort Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plant in Northern Cape (South Africa)
